About Sri Vaidyanatha Swami
Brahma Bhutha Sri Vaidyanatha Swami, one of our ancestors, attained Jiva Samadhi by chanting Chaturveda in the water of Kanni Canal near the bungalow garden in Ponmalarpalayam area. He did penance at Balamba Sametha Sri Vaidyanatha Swamy Temple in Ponmalarpalayam Agraharam for many years. Formerly involved in family life, he later became a white-robed yogi, renouncing the pleasures of worldly life and devoting his life to spiritual progress and spiritual enlightenment. He was a contemporary of Sri Sadasiva Brahmendra who practiced penance in Parivrajaka state. According to Deva Prachna, his Adistanam is located at 108 feet on the northern side of Kaveri and on the southern side of Balamba Sametha Sri Vaidyanatha Swamy Temple. With the blessings and guidance of Sri Sadasiva Bramendra, Jagadguru Sringeri Acharyas, Sri Seshadri Swami, Kanchi Acharya, Sadhguru Swami Sri Gnanananda Giri, Anuknai Bhava Ankurarpanam Rakshabandanam Ganapathy Homam Medha Dakshinaarthi Homam in the first 5 days.
